Media and Community Relations
Article II of the Fairfield County Medical Association bylaws states the purposes
of the Association, which include enlightening the public in matters of health
and promoting the health of the community. As a professional membership
organization representing almost 2,000 physicians who are dedicated to a healthier
Fairfield County, the Association is uniquely positioned as a valuable media
resource. The Association is part of a coalition with five city medical societies
- Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk, Bridgeport and Danbury - representing all
medical specialties in Fairfield County. In addition, the Association is
part of the federation with the Connecticut State Medical Society and, through
it, with other state medical societies and the American Medical Association.
The Fairfield County Medical Association believes a well informed public is
a healthier public, and a healthier public is our goal.
